Privacy Policy
How ZliccSense handles personal data across WhatsApp messaging, events, campaigns, authentication, and media delivery.
Effective 2 August 20261. Who we are
ZliccSense is a communications and automation platform operated by Zlicc Global Private Limited ("Zlicc", "we", "us", or "our"). It supports event communications, registration confirmations, authentication, QR and media delivery, service conversations, and consent-based marketing through channels including WhatsApp.
Zlicc may determine why and how personal data is used for its own services. When an event organiser, brand, agency, or other customer uses ZliccSense for its programme, that customer may determine the purpose of processing and Zlicc processes data on its documented instructions.
2. Data we process
- Identity and contact data, such as name, mobile number, email address, company, role, and event registration details.
- WhatsApp data, such as WhatsApp identifiers, profile name, message content, media, message timestamps, delivery status, and replies.
- Event and access data, such as registrations, attendance, QR credentials, check-in activity, access decisions, and service requests.
- Authentication delivery data, such as one-time-password delivery requests and status, security events, and limited anti-abuse signals. Connected products, rather than ZliccSense, generate and verify OTP values.
- Media and experience data, such as event photographs submitted to or matched by Zlicc Moments and delivery records.
- Preference and campaign data, such as consent source, communication preferences, opt-outs, campaign membership, and engagement.
- Platform data, such as authorised operator accounts, access assignments, audit records, API activity, device or browser information, and diagnostic logs.
3. How we use data
We process personal data to:
- deliver registration confirmations, QR credentials, event updates, photos, and requested services on behalf of connected event products;
- deliver caller-generated OTPs, protect platform access, prevent misuse, and investigate security incidents;
- send transactional messages and respond to conversations initiated by a recipient;
- send marketing or sales communications where the recipient has provided valid consent or another lawful basis applies;
- route messages through the correct approved WhatsApp sender and template, monitor delivery, and handle failures or retries;
- operate, support, audit, analyse, and improve ZliccSense and connected Zlicc services; and
- meet contractual, legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations.
4. Legal grounds and choices
Depending on the service and applicable law, processing may rely on consent, performance of a contract or requested service, compliance with law, or legitimate interests such as platform security and service improvement. Marketing messages are governed by recorded communication preferences and applicable WhatsApp rules. A recipient may opt out of marketing at any time by replying STOP or contacting us.
5. How data is shared
We disclose data only as needed for the purposes described above, including to:
- the event organiser, brand, agency, or customer responsible for the relevant programme;
- Meta and WhatsApp to transmit messages and receive delivery, template, and conversation events;
- cloud hosting, communications, security, analytics, support, and other processors working under appropriate obligations;
- authorised Zlicc personnel and service partners who need access to deliver or support the service; and
- regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties where disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell personal data obtained through WhatsApp.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain data only for as long as needed for the relevant event or service, customer instructions, security and audit requirements, dispute handling, and applicable law. OTPs and transient authentication material are kept only for short operational periods. Event media and messaging records may follow the retention period agreed with the organiser. Data is deleted, anonymised, or allowed to expire from protected backups when it is no longer required.
7. International processing and security
Service providers, including Meta, may process data outside the recipient's state or country. Where required, Zlicc uses contractual and organisational safeguards for such processing. We use access controls, authentication, audit logging, protected secret handling, transmission security, and operational monitoring appropriate to the nature of the data. No system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law and the role of the relevant event organiser, a person may ask to access, correct, update, or delete personal data; withdraw consent; object to certain processing; or raise a grievance. We may verify identity before acting on a request. If a customer controls the data, we may refer the request to that customer or assist it in responding.
Detailed request instructions are available on our data deletion page.
9. Children
ZliccSense is not offered directly to children for independent use. If an event involves a child, the organiser is responsible for obtaining any consent required from a parent or lawful guardian and for providing appropriate notice.
10. Contact and updates
Privacy questions or grievances may be sent to ab@zlicc.com. Please identify the relevant event or Zlicc service without including unnecessary sensitive information. We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change and will publish the revised effective date here.
